Network & Datacenter
We use four locations and 3 datacenters for our VPS and dedicated servers. We use different datacenters for VPS Nodes, which are housed in Manchester, UK and Los Angeles CA and Miami Florida, USA. While we use different (two) datacenters for dedicated server solutions, both datacenters are located in Chicago, IL.
Network/Datacenter for Dedicated Servers
Our network is powered by a high-speed Cisco core, with an emphasis on stability and redundancy. Our datacenter has access to multiple major bandwidth providers, and have contracts with many of them to provide the best speed and uptime to our customers. High-speed Cisco cabinet switches connect into multiple cores to provide redundant paths to all customer servers, eliminating many downtime issues due to core maintenance.
Leveraging custom-developed automation tools, the network is able to rapidly respond to changes in network conditions, and quickly update customer configurations to provide a superior level of service.
This network artchitecture is used for dedicated server solutions ONLY.
Network/Datacenter for VPS Nodes!
Our network is connected globally via 10-Gigabit Ethernet Wavelength handoff(s) on redundant/dual-path DWDM fiber-optic transport connections, to XO™ Communications (US), Hibernia Atlantic™ (UK), Zayo™ Bandwidth (US), and BandCon™/Highwinds™ (UK/US). The network currently connects Our POPs (Points of Presence) in Manchester & London (UK), Amsterdam (NL), Toronto (CA), & Scranton PA, Philadelphia PA, New York NY, Los Angeles CA, Ashburn VA (USA)....with additional locations planned for the future. We transit is provided via multiple 10-Gigabit transit circuits from Telia™, Cogent™ Communications, BTN™/PCCW™, XO™ Communications, Hurricane Electric™, BandCon/Highwinds, & Deutsche Telekom™. BurstNET® also peers with multiple carriers at NYIIX™ (New York), LINX (London), LONAP (London), TORIX (Toronto), Equinix (Ashburn), & ANY2 (Los Angeles). For redundancy, We're currently running BGP4 (border gateway routing protocol) to maintain the speed and uptime. If one backbone line goes down, it will balance the load to the other(s). If one line gets congested, it will load balance the traffic.
